To maintain the quality of composite tiles at the proper level, the manufacturer systematically conducts laboratory tests of raw materials and finished products, including climate tests by BASF.

Once again, samples of QUEENTILE composite tiles successfully passed all tests with a number of cycles equal to 50 years of operation in a temperate climate.

The task was to determine color stability, the level of adhesion of the acrylic binder, the degree of loss of basalt granulate under the influence of various weather conditions: temperature, UV radiation, air humidity, etc.

The studies were carried out in accordance with ISO-16474 standard.

The result is confirmation of a service life of more than 50 years!

At the request of the manufacturing company, the following product characteristics were also checked:

  • resistance to high humidity up to 95% (life cycle does not decrease)
  • thermal conductivity D=0.13
  • immunity to high concentrations of NaCl in the atmosphere
  • resistance to dynamic loads (samples can withstand an impact of 445 N/cm2 at t 30C, which confirms the roof’s resistance to any hail and even direct impact from a coconut)
  • resistance to critical temperatures. The effect of a temperature of 100 C is not critical for the coating. Plastic deformation starts from 175C in case of dynamic impact of more than 200 N/cm2
  • preservation of stone chips occurs up to 12 points on the Beaufort scale
